Thank you for attending tonight’s conclusion of Kid Zone! We’re glad that you got to spend the evening as a family. 

To close our series, “Influencers”, watch the video below as a family. Then answer the following questions and end with a family prayer.

MESSAGE:

Just before Jesus ascends to heaven, He gives His apostles a command to go and make disciples. A disciple is a life-long learner and follower of Jesus. Jesus doesn’t limit the reach of His disciples’ influence. In fact, He broadens the scope of their impact to the “ends of the earth”! Our mission, or commission as the Bible calls it, if we choose to accept it, is to do the same. Go, make disciples, baptize & teach, and know that Jesus will give us the power of the Holy Spirit to accomplish it. This beautiful and powerful directive is how we, as the body of Christ, can influence others for His glory.

QUESTIONS:

What did you learn about Jesus this week?

Where was Jesus about to go in today’s story?

Who did Jesus send to help the apostles and us?

How can you influence those around who may not know Jesus?

PARENT TIME:

The daily grind can really wear down on our spirits. However, it’s in that day to day living that we can truly show how Jesus has changed us for good. It’s good to know what the gospel actually is and how it saves us. But it needs to be partnered with honorable, loving, respectable day to day living. While not always easy, we set the tone at home and in our families, which means we have the power to shape our influence to the outside world. Be on the lookout for how you can influence others and who can influence you!
